Stillwater Notes

Small notes on walks, film cameras and slow mornings.

Fog over the reservoir

Left early with an old rangefinder and two rolls of Portra. The water was perfectly still until the wind picked up around nine. Half the roll is grey nothing, and I like it that way.

Notes on a cheap tripod

A tripod that weighs almost nothing also holds almost nothing. Hanging the bag from the hook helps more than any review suggested.

Slow coffee, slower film

Developing at home again. Twelve minutes of agitation is a good excuse to stand still in a dark room and think about nothing.
